On Your First Visit

Next you will have a consultation with Dr. Snyder to discuss your health-related challenges, concerns, as well as potential care options. Your first visit is designed for Dr. Snyder to learn more about you, your health challenge and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care meet your goals.

Prior to your appointment, please gather any information you feel may be useful to me such as prior X-Rays, MRI studies for your consultation.

After your consultation on your first visit, Dr. Snyder will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your nervous system, your ability to turn and bend as well as other neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical examinations. Additionally, we may be performing specialized testing of your spine and nerve system using the Insight Millennium. This amazing technology is used in only select chiropractic facilities in the Phoenixville and Collegeville region. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

Please refrain from physical exercise for 2 hours prior to the exam, the use of any tobacco products, excessive caffeine, as well as medication that may mask pain or inflammation.

X-Ray Studiescervical xray side view

Your specific condition may require us to refer you for x-rays to get a full evaluation of your spine. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions or assist the doctor in developing the most effective care plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignment and spinal decay for themselves.

Report of Findings

Once all the information and examinations have been performed and the doctor has taken the time to review everything aboutreport-findings you, Dr. Snyder will relate his findings to you to answer the three most popular questions:
  1. Can chiropractic care help me?
  2. What do you recommend that I do to get better?
  3. How much is it going to cost and what are my payment options?

After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and reviewing any x-rays or tests, Dr. Snyder will discuss recommendations with you. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. If Dr. Snyder believes we can help you, we will recommend a plan for care and a wellness program.

Spinal AdjustmentIf the doctor determines yours to be a chiropractic case, you will be provided with your first spinal adjustment at the conclusion of your Report of Findings. This may include procedures to initiate reducing nerve interference and/or soft tissue therapies. Your care is interactive with you so you can express any concerns you have about the style of adjustment with which you will be most comfortable. We will do nothing without your consent.

If you desire an overall wellness lifestyle, we will work with you to create good habits and routines that support your success. Everybody is unique and different and therefore everyone requires a unique and customized wellness plan. The foundation of our overall wellness lifestyle is maintaining healthy posture and good spinal alignment, eating a healthy diet, taking supplements, keeping your weight under control and stress relief.
