In this video, I discuss the common symptom of pain on the bottom of the heel in the first few steps in the morning, which is a common sign of plantar fasciitis. I explain that while it may feel like the fascia needs to be loosened, new research has actually found that it is less stiff in those with plantar fasciitis. I discuss the importance of implementing the correct stability program to return the fascia back to its normal stiffness. I also mention that we treat plantar fasciitis at our office using joint manipulation, myofascial release, plantar fascial stretching, and orthotics when needed.

If you or someone you know is suffering from plantar fasciitis have them contact our office by calling or texting 610-935-5900.
